ICYMI: March at EquipmentShare

March was a busy month for all of us at EquipmentShare, and we’re sure our customers and followers across the country can agree. Here at EquipmentShare, we hope you’re healthy, safe and practicing social distancing. 

As we all try to navigate this uncertain time, we want you to know that you can look to EquipmentShare to support you and your community. We know our customers still have jobs to do, which is why our branches are still operating and providing equipment to customers. Our team will continue to serve all those who provide critical support to our community, such as emergency care providers, infrastructure, medical services and others while abiding by enhanced health and safety procedures. EquipmentShare Attends CONEXPO- CON/AGG 2020

EquipmentShare team members traveled to Las Vegas in early March to showcase EquipmentShare’s construction technology solutions and EquipmentShare Robotics’ automated compactors at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020. CONEXPO is North America’s largest construction trade show and was an incredible opportunity to debut our construction automation solutions, meet other industry professionals and talk to curious attendees who all wanted to know: “Who’s operating these compactors?”

EquipmentShare Creates "No Child Hungry" To Aid Local Community

Public schools across the country have closed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. EquipmentShare’s headquarters is in Columbia, Mo., and our public school system, Columbia Public Schools (CPS), has closed until late April. As a result, children who rely on meals at school will not have as easy of access to food resources. EquipmentShare knew we could help local kids in Columbia by providing them with meals while school is closed. That is why we created No Child Hungry by EquipmentShare. 

Using the funds raised through a GoFundMe campaign, EquipmentShare’s cooking staff prepared and distributed over 1,400 meals from March 23 through 27. Our mission transformed as the week passed. The original GoFundMe goal was $3,000, but that goal was surpassed quickly, and with the increased amount of funds, we were also able to prepare meals to give to people of all ages in our community—not just kids. 

Based on the needs we saw in our community last week, we decided to continue our efforts and keep No Child Hungry by EquipmentShare running. For the next few weeks, we will distribute family meal packages. These meal packages will feed a family of four for about three days.
