In 2020, EquipmentShare focused on our enduring goal of solving contractors’ problems with technology-driven solutions. None of us could have predicted the unique challenges 2020 presented, but these challenges offered us the chance to rise to the occasion. Our teams continued to deliver equipment and materials to jobsites across the U.S., offer helping hands through difficult moments, and innovate beyond a demanding year and into a promising future.
EquipmentShare Track’s improvements included Time Cards, an employee scheduling and time tracking app, and a host of insightful fleet reports that help contractors make data-informed business decisions. EquipmentShare Rent yards nationwide added new equipment to their fleet, including industrial tools and oil and gas equipment, while lending a hand in their communities.
As 2020 came to a close, we continued to innovate and grow. Check out five new EquipmentShare locations, some impactful EquipmentShare Track updates and see how we spread a little bit of holiday cheer—just in case you missed it.

EquipmentShare Track Updates of the Month
Product Update #1: New Interactive Fleet Utilization Dashboard in EquipmentShare Track
Why is it important? This update provides Managers and Owners with an overview of the asset runtime and usage over a given period of time. Users can learn more about real asset utilization, compare vehicle to equipment utilization, see the average utilization percentage and runtime for their fleet and more!
How can I use this now? The new Fleet Utilization Dashboard is available under the Reports dashboard by searching “Analytics.” The Fleet Utilization Dashboard’s behavior is similar to the Fleet Management Dashboard (released in November 2020). For more information on using common functions such as downloading data, scheduling the dashboard or troubleshooting visual load issues, see the Using Fleet Management Dashboard.
Product Update #2: Allow Users to Update Purchase Order on an Invoice in EquipmentShare Track
Why is it important? Customers now have the ability to change the assigned Purchase Order to an invoice in EquipmentShare Track. This update allows customers to gain better control over their billing and conveniently manage their own invoices by assigning an existing PO or creating a new one.
How can I use it now? To update an invoice’s Purchase Order, select “Dashboard” from the left menu of EquipmentShare Track, select the “Invoices” tab across the top, then select the invoice from the table to open the invoice. On the top right, click the “Change” button under Purchase Order. The Add or Edit Purchase Order screen will display. Make your changes and select “Save.”
EquipmentShare Builds Holiday Cheer Throughout Communities
Last month, EquipmentShare locations across the nation got into the holiday spirit and focused on giving back to their communities. Check out how a few of our locations and EquipmentShare headquarters spread holiday cheer this season:
In December, the EquipmentShare team in Sacramento, Calif., held a holiday toy drive benefiting the Firefighters Burn Institute. The Firefighters Burn Institute is a Sacramento nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support, resources and recovery programs to burn victims. The toys collected were given to children in the program. On Dec. 21, the Sacramento team got to deliver the bounty of toys. Check out the pictures below!
Topeka, Kan.; Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas; Columbia, Mo.
A few of our branch locations participated in food drives to benefit their local food banks over the holidays! EquipmentShare branches in Topeka, Kan.; Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas; and Columbia, Mo., set out excavator buckets in their lobbies for employees and customers to fill with non-perishable food items. On Dec. 21, each location donated its collection of food to their local food banks right in time for the holidays.
EquipmentShare Headquarters in Columbia, Mo.
On Dec. 18 and 19, EquipmentShare headquarters held its first drive-thru holiday light show, “Santa’s Work Crew Powered by EquipmentShare” in Columbia, Mo. We asked attendees to donate to two local organizations, The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri and the Voluntary Action Center.
Over the two nights, a total of 1,462 lbs. of food was collected for The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri and $4,000 donated to the Voluntary Action Center’s Holiday Family Program! We’re thankful for the generosity of all of the holiday light show visitors.

No Child Hungry by EquipmentShare Distributes 200 Meals to Students and Families
The No Child Hungry by EquipmentShare program has supported students and families in our community since the beginning of the pandemic in March. We worked with the teachers and staff of Muriel Battle High School in Columbia, Mo., to distribute special holiday meals to students and families in need during the holiday season.
On Dec. 23, we were grateful to give 200 Christmas meals to local families to enjoy with their loved ones over the holidays! Each family was given enough food to feed a family of four, which included a whole turkey, bread, milk, eggs and some special holiday side dishes to make the meal extra festive. Even Santa joined to spread a little extra cheer!
U.S. Marine Corps Trainee Reunited with Family at EquipmentShare Holiday Light Show
EquipmentShare Project Manager Bobbi Malone knew her kids’ Christmas wouldn’t be complete without their older brother, Sincere. Sincere has been away from home at training camp for the U.S. Marine Corps the last few months.
With help from his mom, Sincere was able to surprise his siblings on Dec. 18 at EquipmentShare headquarters’ holiday light show. Hear Bobbi and Sincere’s story and watch the surprise, heartfelt reunion below!
