Four EquipmentShare branches will now offer Link-Belt excavators, scrap and material handling equipment and work tools. Customers can find this equipment at the EquipmentShare yards in Columbia, Mo.; Charleston, South Carolina; Savannah, Ga.; and Lake Charles, La.
“EquipmentShare has exceptional personnel, sales and product service experience to support customers,” LBX Company’s Distribution Development Manager Chris Wise said. “The company has a unique business model to serve both rental and equipment purchase customer segments.”
MU MBA Students Present Industry Findings
In 2019, EquipmentShare’s Business Analyst team partnered with the University of Missouri’s Trulaske School of Business Crosby MBA Consulting Group on two semester-long industry research projects. One group of students was asked to determine a contractor’s annual cost of ownership for a 10,000-lb. telehandler and 50,000-lb. excavator. The second student group researched the impact of seasonality on the construction industry by region.
Both groups presented their findings this month and gave insight on how this information can inform EquipmentShare’s future business decisions.

Over the past few months, a dedicated team has been testing a new EquipmentShare product called Rapid Rents. Let’s say a contractor rents equipment for a project, but doesn’t need it for a few days or until the project reaches a certain point. The equipment sits, unused and idle, on the contractor’s jobsite—and that costs him money. Rapid Rents solves this money-wasting problem.
Rapid Rents makes it easy for contractors to maximize their rental equipment use and reduce their rental costs by re-renting unused equipment. So far, the product is in beta-testing with crews in Arkansas and Illinois with more pilot programs in the works. Check back in the near future for a progress update on this new EquipmentShare product.
